HEB Grand Opening

New H-E-B Opens in Kenedy

H-E-BThe new H-E-B in Kenedy is now officially open. The No Bull Radio network and KCAF 92.1-FM radio would like to extend our hand to this new and much needed addition to our community. H-E-B convenience store and gas station, adjacent to the new H-E-B opened last week at the corner of Highway 181 and Highway 72.

Today, the new 40,000 square-foot store opens for business. Even though this new H-E-B grocery store is more than 3 times the size of the old H-E-B, it’s still smaller than the stores in nearby Floresville or Beeville. The new store features Bakery, Business Center, Car Wash, Deli, Gas Station and Convenience Store, Pharmacy w/Pharmacy Drive Thru and other niceties famous at the larger H-E-B stores.

  1. OK, well a new HEB was needed here, but with all the hoopla and hooray about a new HEB finally open; it’ll do, but I’m a little disappointed. Even though it’s a lot bigger, it still feels small. Tiny produce section with limited choice, no coffee bar or even lunch or salad bar.

Sure, im a tough guy from oil fields that loves killing n’ grillin’, but still try to think healthy. How far do we have to drive to get a good cup of coffee, a salad or even fresh deli sandwich?

    1. That low gas price is just a trick to get you to go in the store and buy the expensive toilet paper give them a week and it will be as high as a cats behind for sure. I remember back during the war.. the big one WWII you had to have a coupon to buy gas but it was just 12 cents a gallon and you know we didn’t have none of that paper to wipe our rear end could buy a beer for 10 cents, hey those where the good ole days, no internet no tv… just radio and a Sears catalog

      1. Mr. Kotara,

Thats why they call your generation, the Greatest Generation. The new generations dont know what sacrifuce is… its not slow internet or lack of cellphone coverage.

Thank you for your comments, keep listening to us on 92.1 Kenedy, 1490 Beeville and 1280 Beeville.
